Before you book
What you actually need to know about COMPAMED.
COMPAMED runs inside MEDICA week in Halls 8a/8b, dedicated to the suppliers, component makers and contract manufacturers behind medical devices — component buyers and engineers, not the clinical/hospital audience MEDICA's other 15 halls draw.
Traffic & timing
Most COMPAMED traffic arrives after visitors have already worked through MEDICA's main halls on the same badge, so expect a later, more concentrated peak than a stand-alone show. New for 2026: MEDICA/COMPAMED introduced a two-tier Premium/Standard ticket — Premium holders split their time with curated conferences and the Premium Lounge, so don't assume every badge-holder is free to stop at your stand all day.
Key deadlines
Plan backwards from move-in.
Structural drawings
Dimensioned stand plans (1:100, floor plan + elevations) are due to Messe Düsseldorf at least 6 weeks before the setup period starts on 10 November 2026 — so by roughly 29 September 2026.
Technical service orders
Order stand power, compressed air, rigging inspection and similar services through the Online Order System by 13 October 2026 — later orders face a 35% surcharge and availability isn't guaranteed.
Badge & staff registration
Exhibitor pass codes reach your main contact roughly two months out; get them redistributed to booth staff before move-in (10 November) so nobody's stuck at the gate on day one.
Watch-outs
Messe Düsseldorf, Halls 8a/8b, not a generic hall.
No more artificial greenery
From 2026, Messe Düsseldorf's Technical Guidelines ban artificial plants, bamboo, reed, hay, straw, wood chips and turf on stands (Sec. 4.4.1.1) — a rule change that catches out anyone reusing an older stand design.
Double-deck and rigging need real engineering
A second storey or any suspended structure needs a load calculation against Eurocode EN 1991-1-1/NA and, for rigging, supervision by an IGVW-qualified person — not paperwork you can backfill in the final week.
Heavy trucks need a booked slot
Vehicles over 7.5t must book a loading slot through Kühne+Nagel or DSV by noon the day before, arrive within a 15-minute window, or lose the slot with no replacement offered.
Most hall entrances are narrower than they look
Only one entrance per hall (8a-5/8b-5, 8.45m × 7.40m) takes oversized crates — every other doorway into 8a/8b is 5.55m × 5.45m, so confirm your biggest piece fits before it's on a truck.

[PLACEHOLDER] Ferrolux Components
Making a 16m² component stand read as a serious supplier
Ferrolux's previous COMPAMED stand looked like a sample table in a hall full of specialists. We rebuilt it around vertical display and integrated demo lighting within the same footprint, staying inside the hall's 8m height limit and the new materials restrictions.
Same 16m² footprint, meeting requests up noticeably in the first year of the redesign.

763 exhibitors from 70 countries share two halls and the same 78,000-visitor MEDICA badge — floor space here is about height and timing, not square metres.

Frequently asked
COMPAMED, answered.
Can our COMPAMED and MEDICA stands share one build crew?
Yes — this is the default setup for clients showing at both; move-in windows overlap (10–15 November for both), so one schedule and one crew is usually more efficient than two.
What happens if we miss the 13 October technical-order deadline?
Orders still go through the Online Order System after that date, but expect a 35% surcharge and no guarantee the service — power, rigging inspection and the like — is still available in time.
Do we need a customs carnet for demo equipment from outside the EU?
Messe Düsseldorf's own exhibitor documentation doesn't spell out carnet rules — for non-EU shipments, check with your freight forwarder (Kühne+Nagel and DSV are the fair's official partners) well before the 10 November move-in, since customs clearance can't be rushed at the dock.
