What you actually need to know about CPHI Milan.
CPHI Milan is Europe's largest pharma-ingredients and contract-manufacturing show at Fiera Milano Rho, spanning APIs, bioproduction, CROs, excipients, finished dosage, machinery, packaging and drug delivery — plus four zones new for 2026: AI & Tech, Contamination Control, Cold Chain & Logistics and Labelling.
Traffic & timing
Opening hours run 10:00–18:30 on the first two days but close early at 16:00 on the final day (8 October) — plan your best demos and highest-priority meetings for days one and two, not the shorter closing afternoon. Rho's scale also means visitors self-select by hall before they arrive, so a stand in the ingredients hall gets browsed differently than one in the packaging or new-zones halls.

Better Stands Programme compliance
Every space-only stand is assessed against the mandatory Better Stands 10-point framework, with independent on-site inspection by Abraxys during build-up and dismantle — plan your materials (no chipboard, foamcore, PVC banners or thin carpet) before design, not after the assessor arrives.
Stand format decision
Space-only minimums vary by zone — 25m² in Contamination Control, 30m² in several new zones, 40m² elsewhere — confirm which zone you're in before booking, since it sets your minimum footprint.
Vendor verification
CPHI publishes a list of authorised suppliers and explicitly warns against 'International Fairs Directory,' a named unauthorised vendor — check any unsolicited stand-services offer against the official list before paying.

Better Stands isn't optional for space-only stands
All raw-space stands are scored Bronze/Silver/Gold against a 10-point reuse framework, independently inspected by Abraxys — building a single-use stand with chipboard, foamcore or PVC banners risks a poor assessment on a programme CPHI says will become part of the stand-build regulations.
A named scam vendor is already targeting exhibitors
CPHI's own exhibitor-warning page calls out 'International Fairs Directory' by name as a fraudulent solicitor — that level of specificity means this isn't hypothetical, it's an active problem exhibitors are currently reporting.
Zone minimums aren't uniform
Space-only minimums range from 25m² to 40m² depending on which of the show's zones you're in — a design brief written before confirming your zone can end up sized wrong.
Wayfinding across pavilions
Rho spans multiple halls linked by long walkways — signage only visible up close won't pull visitors from a different pavilion, especially with four new zones added for 2026 competing for the same attention.

The mandatory 10-point assessment applies to space-only/raw-space stands specifically — Modular Stand Design (MSD) packages are pre-built through CPHI's own system, so the reuse scoring works differently there.
